4 Corners Tour USA 2011

Photos from Montreal, Quebec, Canada to Madawaska, Maine, United States

Heavy rain, but great country to ride through.

Glad to be out of the French speaking Quebec.  We made some fuel-up stops and could not talk to anyone.  I pulled out my iPhone with our travel map and shows it to one older guy looking at us as we fueled up in the rain.

When we got our rain gear on there was a cute little girl (age around 6) interested in what we were doing, but again, we could not talk to her.

Photos taken between Miami, Florida and Tifton, Georgia.

Erik dropped his wife off at the Miami airport before sunrise and had a long haul by his lonesome up to Georgia where he reconvined with Kent and Troy.

It was around Lake City, FL that I heard Mike decided to stop doing the tour, rest up, and head due West on his own back home to California.

Photos taken on the Florida Keys.

Chickens!

Key West, Florida was Corner #2 on our USA Four Corner Tour.

Photos taken between Raleigh, NC and Miami, FL.

This was Erik’s longest day of riding clocking in at 799 miles.

The upside is that he was joined by his wife Kathryn. They enjoyed some fresh Georgia peaches on their long haul to Miami.

Some photos between Washington, DC and Raleigh, NC.

This set includes the most expensive photo taken on the tour, a photo of “Friend of the Bike” Officer Singleton from Brunswick County, Virginia valued at over $547.

Plus photos of Erik with his friends and giving their kids their first ride on a motorcycle. These are the truly priceless photos of the day.

Some photos taken between Hartford, CT and Washington, DC including New York City, NY.

In DC Erik met some “Friends of the Bike”.

Photos from Day 8

There are a lot of photos from the Four Corners Park in Madawaska, Maine.  Even though this was the first check-in corner for us, it was kinda the biggest corner.  We got the most group photos here, and spent the most time at the park.

The park’s founder Joe LaChance met us at the park and we got to talk for a bit.

Following leaving the park we crossed the border back into Canada and road the Canadian Highway #2 down to the Southern end of Maine and crossed back into the US.

I wish I had photos from this part of the ride, it truly was spectacular.

Some photos from Day 6 (of 21).

Covering Niagara Falls, Canada to Montreal, Canada

Photos from Day 5 (of 21) of our cross country motorcycle tour.

We started off in heavy rain in Chicago, IL and ended in heavy mist from the falls in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada.
